Sarah Groarke

Sarah trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she was the recipient of the Peter Ackerman Comedy Prize.


She has performed in many of the country’s theatres with credits including: Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (Southwark Playhouse) • Clover in Animal Farm (Peter Hall Company) • Widow Corney in Oliver! (New Vic Theatre) • Vera in Blonde Bombshells of 1943 (West Yorkshire Playhouse/Bolton Octagon/Hampstead Theatre) • Mistress Quickly in Henry V (Ryan Theatre) • Dionyza in Pericles (Bristol Old Vic) • and Lady More in Sir Thomas More (Bath Shakespeare Festival).

 

Her television and film appearances include: Emmerdale • Death By Home • A Quiet Night In • The Shadow of the Vampire.

Sarah writes and performs alongside Sue Devaney in their comedy partnership Twinset and Pearls. The twosome perform as a stand-up double act with their characters, Mave & Maureen - penning their own material.
